beautiful people.

i met a family today that reminded me of what i want to be when i grow up. a young couple with three kids and two dogs in a house with three bedrooms. pretty normal, right? the wife's sister has a friend who is expecting, and whose husband is away for a few months on business.

what do these sweet people do? they pile their 3 kids (two girls and a boy, aged from 12 to about 8) in one bedroom and invite her to live with them, so that she doesn't have to be alone.

when life gets crazy, and the girl unexpectedly has the baby 3 months prematurely, they again extend their hospitality to include the husband, since the couple is now homeless, jobless, and needs to stay put.

they did this for a stranger. not for family. not a life-long friend. they, and their children, sacrificed (and continue to do so) to extend love and hospitality to another couple in need. they gave not out of their excess, but out of what they had. so beautiful.
