i spy.

hello, dear readers.

{have i mentioned that i love calling you "dear readers," it makes me feel like jane austen... if only i were half so clever...}

i know you're all sorely disappointed that there haven't been any new crafts or anything decor-related. so sorry to disappoint. i have to be honest and tell you that aside from finishing the slipcover last week, i've been taking it easy... it was a heavy week, and i wanted to enjoy being home. i wanted to make sure to take that time because guess what? i'm traveling again.

i could go on and on about how i really looked forward to traveling when i first took this job... and truth be told, there is still a certain mystique... but i'll be honest, the sexiness of being a jet-setting businesswoman in the new millenium is nothing compared to being home with my husband. especially on the weekend.

at this point, you're all probably wondering what i do for a living... even my friends in real life wonder... no, i'm not a spy. nor do i work for some cool fortune 500 corporation. [i am laughing to myself because the most amorphous job title in the world is "consultant," and just this morning i signed and faxed a contract that listed our role as "Consultant." oh, the ambiguous irony.] my job is not nearly as glamorous as it looks from the outside, though i'm thankful for it, and for the flexibility it affords me at times [though it often asks that same flexibility from me].

so i'm off. i won't be home again until wednesday :( i only have one craft that i've accomplished to show you in the interim, so i might be taking pictures of boring hotel rooms and passing that off as art. we'll see. stay tuned...
